Girlhood : We Were Girls Together 

For my Professional Project ‘We Were Girls Together’, I explored the theme of girlhood by creating 14 delicate samples intended for fashion designs, using techniques like embroidery, embellishment, laser cutting, and knitting. One highlight was crafting my own lace, which was challenging due to the delicate nature of the fabric but resulted in beautifully intricate designs. Collaging played a crucial role in my design process, allowing me to experiment freely and creatively with different combinations. Working with knit also posed significant challenges, particularly with tension and yarn thickness, but I gained valuable problem-solving skills. Balancing time during the 12-week project, especially after a long break, was difficult and taught me the importance of clear goal-setting and time management. This journey was filled with creativity, challenges, and lessons, strengthening my determination and readiness for future projects.
